Commonly used in a number of paint and coating applications.  It is used as an extender, an agent to either reduce or enhance gloss, an anti-slip additive, a rheology modifier and as a paint and coating additive to densify the product.

Coating is a generic term of materials applied on the object surface and forming a tough protective film. It exists in the form of liquid. After drying, it forms continuous paint film which decorates and protects the covered substrate.
